Many of you know about the deep love and passion I have for #Zakat; the Pillar of Islam. I dedicated my research thesis to it, lectured at universities and key institutes on it, and have the honour of working with Zakat organisations from across the world Alhamdulillah. One such organisation is the South African National Zakah Fund (SANZAF). Chaired by a sincere friend and a true leader within the sector Allahumma Barik - who invited me to deliver an exclusive webinar for the South African National Zakah Fund.
Established in 1974, SANZAF is a faith-based, socio-welfare and educational organisation that strives to facilitate the empowerment of needy families through the efficient collection and effective distribution of Zakáh and Sadaqát in a proactive and cost-effective way through projects – with dignity, sincerity and shared responsibility. All in the service of the community and for the pleasure of Allah.
Given the situation before us (within the news) and in response to the recent looting and unrest, I urge you for Allah to pray for our brothers and sisters suffering in #SouthAfrica and help them during their time of need through the Emergency Appeal by SANZAF so Allah will help you during your time of need.
